 Improve with Improv
We build upon the TED MED talk and illustrate the parallels between       Alzheimer's caregiving and Improvisation. Going with the Flow, Say Yes   And..., Silence Can Be Powerful and Be in the Moment are some of the   guidelines that lend themselves to both sides.  The session is part   interactive part performance and all educational.
Note: This session can be applied to many walks of life.

Being in the Moment

Join us with an open mind and creative spirit for an interactive, inquiring session that will explore;  What is our perspective in regard to one another? Is there purpose in our resident's lives, if so how do we provide more? What is the importance of presence or being in the moment? Let's explore together.

Sometimes Ya Gotta Laugh
Laughter does the opposite of everything that stress inflicts upon you. Between multi-tasking, chores at home, changes at work, tweets, texts and linking in;  we need to slow down and laugh a little. Mondy and Karen will use skits, improv, exercises and stories to show you some practical ways to bring more laughter and less stress into your day.

Being With One Another: Listening and Speaking
We teach Effective Communication with Persons with Dementia, yet aren't the skills used for persons with dementia the same for all of us?  We will explore tips and techniques for communicating with everyone that lives and works where you do.

Creativity in Healthcare: Get Out of the Box!
The arts and creative expression in general improve health and well-being.  Working in a complex environment with a spectrum of personalities demands creativity. Allowing for creativity to grow at work is what makes culture change (and actually happiness) possible. We use creative and improvisational exercises to help you and your team make your journey interactive, supportive and perhaps even fun.

Pulling it All Together
We will attend your entire conference, going to other sessions and events all the while taking notes along the way. At the very end of your conference we will bring it all together in an interesting and inspiring presentation that will leave your attendees smiling and glad they stayed!
